MAZ is getting ready for a summer packed with exciting shows here and abroad, with tours in British-Columbia (July 2019) and Europe (Belgium and France in August).

We will get started with two special concerts closer to home :

• June 15th, 8PM at Holy Trinity Patrimonial Site in Irlande (Québec)
• June 23rd, 2 PM at The Barn for Westben Festival’s annual fundraiser event in Campbellford (Ontario)

We will then head for the Great West for 3 main stops :

• July 1st st the Pacific Rim Summer Festival in Toffino
• July 3rd at the Butchart Gardents in Victoria
• July 6th an 7th at the Midsummer Music Festival in Smitthers

Many Europe dates in August to be announced!

Our third album received a third nomination, this time from the Indie Acoustic Project, the very same that had nominated Telescope back in 2011 for Best Instrumental Album.

This time, ID’s identity is labelled as “Multi-Genre” in IAP’s Best CDs of 2017, a nomination that responds beautifully to the ones previously received for Traditionnal album of the year (ADISQ 2017) and World Group of the Year (PMFC 2017).

A must-read in Roots Music Canada : a review and interview by d’Elizabeth Szekeres following the double-launch event held on March 23rd at Toronto’s Hugh’s Room with les Poules à Colin. The article’s conclusion is grandiose : “a magnificent musical oeuvre from the hands of four very talented musicians brought together by the genius brain of Marc Maziade”!
