MAZ proudly announces the release of its third album, entitled ID (“idea”) on March 31st. For the occasion, the band releases a new video featuring remodeled Québécois hook “La guenille”.
3 invitations
CD launch events are planned in Quebec in the coming months :
- Wednesday, March 29th, from 6 to 8 PM : the Montreal CD launch at Café du Monument-National (1182, St-Laurent blvd) – with special guests.
- Thursday, April 20th, 7:30 PM : Lanaudière event at Carrefour culturel in Notre-Dame-des-Prairies (171, Curé-Rondeau street) – double launch with Les Chauffeurs à Pieds.
- Tuesday, May 2nd, from 5 to 7 PM : Quebec event at the District Saint-Joseph (252, St-Joseph street East) – double launch with Les Chauffeurs à Pieds.
All three events are free. Between the Montreal and Lanaudière event, the band will be flying to British-Columbia for concerts in Powell River, Denman Island and Coquitlam.
New voices
With ID, MAZ delivers a style of music that has matured and come into its own, and also reveals rich new voices. Decidedly contemporary, and intrinsically rooted in tradition, these voices speak to the heart and body … without losing the mind! They invite us on a journey to rediscover Quebec’s musical heritage, while opening up delightful new perspectives.
Recorded in Lanaudière, Quebec, at the mythic Chemin 4 Studio, ID is coproduced by Mark Busic (Le Vent du Nord, Les Charbonniers de l’Enfer) and Marc Maziade (MAZ, Réveillons!).
