Pierre-Olivier has had an extremely broad education, as illustrated be his traditional Québec, East European and classical violin repertoire and occasional work as video editor, sound technician and director. His studies run from classical violin to jazz violin with a detour through audio electronics and electroacoustic music. He has played with many groups and has explored Québec traditional music (La Vesse du Loup, La Sainte-Barbe, les Cordeurs des bois) along with popular music (Plumage, un hommage à Plume Latraverse) and world music (Weshida, Gadji-Gadjo, Maroc’n Reel). He has accompanied numerous storytellers, played a few years with Marco Calliari and was part of Cirque Eloize’s show La vie est un cirque. His musical projects have taken him across Canada, the USA, France and Romania.
